Like many motorcycle riders, I had multiple bikes as a kid, teenager and young man. My first bike was a Honda Trail 50. I wore that little mini-bike completely out, riding every chance I got through the horse trails of a local ranch in Rockledge, Florida.
When I was in high school, my older step-brother had a Suzuki GT 380 that I lusted after until he decided to sell it to me. That was one fast bike, and I rode around like an idiot (as shown in the photos) with nothing but shorts and flip flops or tennis shoes. Today I am a little more cautious, I ride with all the gear all the time (ATGATT).

My next bike was a 1976 Honda CB 750 Four. It was the closest thing you could get to a modern Gold Wing (I had the Vetter Wind Jammer fairing).
Also like a lot of riders I know today, when we had children, we opted to not have a motorcycle for a little while, and that little while turned into 30 years. In 2013, we returned to the world of motorcycles with a used 2008 GL1800 Gold Wing, and I have loved the experience even more than when I was young. I have been burning up the road ever since. I purchased the bike in May of 2013 with 14,000 miles on it, and as of June of 2015, I now have 48,000 miles on the bike, and the trip I am currently planning will potentially put another 13,000 on it.
